Dear Editor,

We'd like to encourage everyone to get to know the candidates on the ballot before they go to the polls this election. There are many races on the ballot and sometimes gathering enough information on the candidates in order to make an informed vote can be overwhelming. That's why the Commonwealth Policy Center and Commonwealth Policy PAC have teamed up to produce a voter guide for every state House, Senate and U.S. Congressional race. You can find the voter guides at www.commonwealthpolicycenter.org

This election you'll have a clear choice for your next representative in the State House when it comes to pro-life, pro-family and fiscally responsible policies. That's why the Commonwealth Policy PAC is endorsing Larry Elkins. He is pro-life and believes marriage is between one man and one woman. He is also fiscally conservative and believes that when times are tough the government should tighten its belt and live within its means just like the rest of us. Kentucky has made great strides forward in the past two years-- enacting four pro-life bills including the defunding of Planned Parenthood, strengthening religious freedom for public school teachers and students, and working to fix one of the worst funded state pension systems in the nation. Larry Elkins represents principled leadership that will continue to move Kentucky in the right direction. He is a candidate we can trust to fight for our values and a candidate that will make us proud while serving.

Very sincerely yours,

Richard Nelson
