Services for William E. (Bill) Saxon, 77, of Big Sandy, Tenn., and formerly of Kuttawa will be Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Eddyville. Burial will follow in Kuttawa Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Saxon died Thursday, Jan. 25, at his home. He was a retired police officer with the state of Kentucky, a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church.

His parents were Gordon and Geneva Belle Bates Saxon.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Saxon, and his second wife, Lynda Saxon.

Survivors are: his wife, Linda Saxon, Big Sandy, Tenn.; two daughters, Susan Jill Spencer,Tatumville, and Stephanie Peavy, Parrot, Va.; two sons, William Scott Saxon, Lyon County, and Frank Peavy IV, Shreveport, La.; a sister, Brenda Jarvis, Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Kent Saxon, Boise, Idaho, and six grandchildren.
