Steven James Pierce, age 2, passed away Sunday, June 9, as a flash flood victim at Cummins Falls State Park in Jackson County, Tenn.

He is survived by parents, Curtis James Pierce and Hannah Mae Stamps Pierce of Eddyville; sister, Martha Sarahfaye Pierce of Eddyville; maternal grandfather, Michael Stamps and wife, Julie of Eddyville; maternal grandmother, Deanna French and husband, Greg of Hickory; paternal grandfather, Weldon Pierce of Calvert City; paternal grandmother, Rose Rudolph and husband, Linn of Eddyville; maternal great-grandmothers, Barbara Oliver of Eddyville, Charma Lewis of Paducah; maternal great-grandfather, Fred Lewis of Paducah; paternal great-grandparents, James and Velda Pierce of Calvert City; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfathers, Willie Stamps, Sr. and Jim Oliver; paternal grandmother, Sarah York.

Visitation was held Thursday, June 13 at Lakeland Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held at Friday, June 14, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Robin Redd and Bro. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvert City Cemetery.
