Harry Noble Barnett, age 74, of Eddyville, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at his home in Eddyville.

He was a member of Kuttawa First Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran serving his country in Vietnam and retired as a Correctional Captain after working at the Kentucky State Prison for 28 Years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Russell Barnett and Alice Lucille Lawrence Barnett, one brother James Barnett and one sister June Redd.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Peggy Fralicx Barnett, two daughters, Jennifier and husband, Randy Wright of Eddyville, Janet Barnett of Eddyville, one brother, Charlie and wife, Celina Barnett of Pittsburgh, Pa., three grandchildren Meagan Wright, Abigail Wright, Joshua Wright all of Eddyville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Carl Nelson officiating and burial will follow in Glenn Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. May 1 (Wednesday) at Dunn's.
