Eddy L. “Ike” McDowell

Services for Eddy L. “Ike” McDowell, 66, of Fredonia, will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Lakeland Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Eddyville with the Rev. Curtis Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. McDowell died Saturday, Feb. 2, at his home. He was a retired signalman with CSX Transportation, a member of Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and also Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen.

His parents were Lilbert and Thelma Baldwin McDowell.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don McDowell and Joe McDowell.

Survivors are: his wife, Tammy Sanderson McDowell, Fredonia; two sons, Jamie McDowell, Marion, and David McDowell, Fredonia; a step son, Wesley Smock, Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Rick McDowell, Fredonia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
