Two chances to give blood next week in Caldwell County

Next week, the American Red Cross will hold two back-to-back blood drives on Wednesday and Thursday in Fredonia and Princeton, which will present plenty of opportunity for community members to give the gift of life.

The First Baptist Church of Fredonia is hosting a Blood Drive on July 31 from 1 to 6 p.m. in Coleman Hall of the church located at 208 Cassidy Avenue in Fredonia.

To schedule an appointment for the Fredonia drive, please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit and enter "Fredonia."

The Red Cross' Community Donor Appreciation Blood Drive will happen on Aug. 1 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Family Life Center at 121 Kentucky Avenue in Princeton, off of U.S. Hwy 62 West.

Donors need to enter the front doors of the Family Life Center, go down the hall, and enter the gym area.

Appointments are not required. Walk-ins are always welcome. All presenting donors in Princeton will get a free t-shirt and be eligible to win door prizes throughout the day.
