Robert Dan Yates, age 80 of Kuttawa, formerly of Between the Rivers, died, June 18, 2019 at his home in Kuttawa. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and had retired from West Lake Chemical plant in Calvert City after 47 years. He was a Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth McRee Yates; one son-in-law, Barry Bolin; three brothers, Homer L. Yates Jr., Phillip Eugene Yates and Billy Joe Yates; and parents, Homer Lynn, Sr. and Thelma Lady Yates.

Survivors include five daughters, Jacky Bolin of Reidland, Pam Timmons of Kuttawa, Lisa Barnett of Eddyville, Terri Bryan of Miami, Fla., Beverly Yates of Kuttawa; one brother, Henry B. Yates of Kuttawa; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services with military rites was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at Rolling Hills Cemetery with Rev. Mike Farmer and Rev. Matt Grimes officiating. There will be no visitation. Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of arrangements.
