One person was injured during a three-vehicle collision at U.S. 641 and U.S. 62 in Eddyville on Monday.

A three-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 62, U.S. 641, and KY 3305 mid-day Monday sent one driver to the hospital.

According to the report from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by Richard H. Cummins, 47, of Princeton, was stopped in the eastbound turn lane of U.S. 62 at the intersection. When the stop light turned green for east and westbound traffic, Cummins reportedly attempted to turn left onto U.S. 641, but failed to yield the right-of-way to vehicles traveling westbound on U.S. 62 through the light.

One of those westbound vehicles, driven by Charles A. Ladd Jr., 66, of Kuttawa, impacted Cummins in a T-bone fashion.

This caused a third vehicle, operated by Gary K. Hamer, 75, of Oneida, New York, to collide with Ladd.

Cummins' vehicle came to rest facing south on the north side of the intersection. Ladd's vehicle stopped facing north in the center of the intersection, and Hamer's vehicle ended up facing west in the center of the intersection.

Ladd was transported by ambulance to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah with neck and back pain. All others involved in the collision refused transport or treatment at the scene.
