The Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting for the Mineral Mound Golf Course in Eddyville in celebration of the new greens and the golf course re-opening to the public on Aug. 12.

The ceremony will take place on Aug. 9 at 11:45 am at Mineral Mound Golf Course Clubhouse prior to the Noon Shotgun start for the 2019 Chamber Golf Classic.

Mineral Mound sprigged TifEagle Bermuda grass on their greens June 12 and the process has gone extremely well.

"We are truly delighted about the opportunity that Chris Cary, CPRP/Park Manager for Mineral Mound State Park has offered our players in the Golf Classic the opportunity to be the first to play the course prior to the opening for the public," says Deb Domke, Executive Director of the Lake Barkley Chamber.

This year's tournament will feature a $30,000 Hole in One (50/50 Split with the Chamber), plus prizes on every hole and a total of $940 in cash prizes awarded.

Eagle Sponsor for this year's tournament is Farmer's Bank & Trust and Birdie Sponsor is The Springs Subdivision by Bayview Properties.
