The Lyon County Extension Service, Farm Bureau and Conservation District are hosting a Farm to Table Dinner at the Lyon Convention Center at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville on Tuesday, September 24 at 6:00 p.m. In addition to highlighting local agriculture production, the event is a fundraiser for the Hope of Lyon County Food Bank.

Guests will enjoy a meal prepared with local foods by Chef Aaron Purdue. Lyon County's Kate Ward will play her fiddle. Kate is renowned for her skill on the violin and has been invited to play at the Grand Old Opry several times. Guest speakers are Retired Supreme Court Justice and author Bill Cunningham on the areas agriculture history and Senator Stan Humphries with a local agriculture update.

Magney Legacy Farm will provide the salad, greens and other vegetables; pork will be from Rittenberry Farms in Livingston County, the sweet corn was raised by Tysh Farms and eggs sourced from Beth and David Duncan.

Tickets are $30 per person or $225 for a table of eight. For reservations call the Extension Office at (270) 388-2341.
