The Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting for the BB&T (Eddyville) community project of the new Chill Spa Sensory Room at Lyon County Elementary School for students living with Autism. The ceremony will take place on July 24 at 3 p.m. at Lyon County Elementary School.
BB&T meets the needs of their community by their associates participating in projects that can make a difference in the critical needs of the communities in which they serve. This is the 10th year for the program and nationally they have completed almost 1,200 community service projects nationwide. Since its inception, the financial institution has completed more than 11,000 community service projects.
"We are truly excited about this new addition to serve the students of our community," says Deb Domke, Executive Director of the Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce. "In fact, the outstanding efforts of the banking team at BB&T of Eddyville has landed the branch with the BB&T Spirit Award for the state of Kentucky for this project."
