Sydney Elizabeth Allen, 18


Funeral services for Sydney Elizabeth Allen, 18, of Cadiz, were held Saturday, February 9, 2019, with Rev. Paxton Redd, Rev. Norman Cotton, and Rev. Kirk Greenfield officiating. Burial followed in Wall Cemetery in Wallonia. Music was provided by Bonnie Boyd, pianist. Pallbearers were Roger Light, Mike Johnson, Michael Bush, Grace Bland, Tristian Loomis, and Donovan Washer.

Sydney passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, at University of Louisville Hospital. Sydney was a student attending Jefferson Community College in Louisville and worked part-time at UPS as a participant of the Loop Program. She was a 2018 graduate of Trigg County High School where she was an active member of the Future Farmers of America, and where she enjoyed hanging out with her friends and cheering in the student-led "Black Hole" section at ballgames. Sydney was a member of Wallonia Baptist Church where as a little girl, she participated in Church Bible Drills led by her late Granny, Brenda Bush.

She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Tonya Bush Allen of Cadiz; her brother, "Bubby" Will Allen of Cadiz; her paternal grandparents, Tommie and Karen (Johnson) Allen of Cadiz; her maternal grandfather, Richard Bush of Cadiz; and two aunts, Tina (Rodney) Loomis of Cadiz, and "Kika" Kara Dawn Allen of Nashville.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Brenda Bush.
