Funeral services for Linda Faye Scott Smith, 71, of Cadiz, formerly of Ft. Myers, Fla. will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz. Visitation will be held from noon until the service hour at the funeral home. The Rev. Geoff Baggett will officiate.

Linda Faye Scott Smith passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz. Mrs. Smith worked in the retail industry for many years before retiring to Trigg County. She was a member of Crossroads Fellowship in Cadiz and had previously served as a Sunday school teacher at Russell Park Baptist Church in Ft. Myers. Linda enjoyed baking and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Ross Smith of Cadiz; one son, Michael David (Annie) Smith of Madisonville; three daughters, Martha Smith (Rick) Johnson of Panama City, Florida, Mary Smith-Delorney of Fort Myers, and Monica Smith-Trout of Cadiz; eight grandchildren, Jamie (David) Thomas, Rich (December) Johnson, Lacey Smith, David Anderson, Brandon Trout, Alexia Trout, Carson Smith, and Cameryn Smith; three great grandchildren, Jailyn Thomas, Jordyn Thomas, and Aurora Johnson; five brothers, Ernie (Jan) Scott, Larry (Kathy) Scott, and Frank (Shirley) Vick, all of Fort Myers, Jackie (Susan) Gentry of Sebring, Florida, and Ricky Scott of Michigan; three sisters, Dorothy (Jay) Gill and Georgia Vick, both of Fort Myers, and Loretta Scott of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Penfield Scott; her mother, Martha Violet Horne Vick; one brother, Jimmy Scott; and two sisters, Carol Bartlett and Clara Gill.
