Philip Graham with Helping Hands of Cadiz has announced that the food bank will receive a truckload of milk to hand out to the needy on Friday.

The donation is a part of the Kentucky Hunger Initiative, with a grant from the Kentucky Dairy Alliance to provide milk and other dairy items to those in need. This program was started in early 2018, but this is the first opportunity for Trigg County to participate.

Each family will be given a half gallon of milk. Graham says there is a possibility for other cold food items to be on the truck, but will not know until later in the week.

The items will be handed out on Friday between noon and 2 p.m. at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex parking lot to those families eligible for commodities through the food bank and have received items before.
