• The Trigg County Senior Center offers: Lunch daily from 11:30 a.m.-noon: first and third Tuesday; dancing from 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Wednesdays Bible Study 9:30 a.m.; Thursdays blood pressure checks at 10 a.m. The exercise room is open daily from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The center offers a walking program designed for healthy living, "Walking with Ease." • Helping Hands Bargain Barn & Clothes Closet is open from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and first and third Saturdays. The Bargain Barn is located at 84 Jefferson St. in Cadiz. Donations are welcome and all proceeds stay in Trigg County. For more information, call Kathy at 256-655-2142.

• Trigg County Adult Education is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at 219 Main St., Cadiz. Call 270-522-2212 to work on your GED, TABE for employment or KPA.

• Trigg County Conservation District 2019 Scholarship application is available in the high school guidance office and the Trigg County Conservation District Office, 193 Commerce St., Cadiz. For more information, call the Conservation District Office at 270-522-3304. Application deadline is May 1.

• Canton Baptist Church will have a gospel concert featuring the Mark Trammell Quartet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Canton Baptist, located at 423 Boyds Landing Road near the Barkley Bridge. There is no admission charge. A love offering will be taken.

• East Cadiz Baptist Church will host a youth rally Sunday featuring worship music by Second Coming and an inspirational message from Brother Joe. Supper starts at 5 p.m. and the rally begins at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited. For more information, call 270-522-7522.

• Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will celebrate its 212th anniversary Sunday with the following service times; Sunday school 9:45 a.m.; Worship 10:45 a.m.; Lunch 12:30 p.m., followed by singing and fellowship at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located at 3666 Blue Springs Road, Cadiz.

• Trigg County Caregiver Support Group will meet at noon Feb. 26 at the John L. Street Library in Cadiz.

• Volunteers from RSVP are doing taxes from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in the basement of the John L. Street Library. Call 270-522-6301 today for an appointment.

• The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, in conjunction with this year's Big Read and the book, "The Things They Carried," invites residents and veterans to share their stories and photographs that relate to personal experiences with the war in Vietnam. Museum staff are coordinating with veterans and active-duty soldiers to schedule and conduct oral history interviews about participation in and perspectives about the conflict. If you are interested in participating in this project or have additional questions, contact Janet Bravard at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County at 270-887-4270 or at jbravard@museumsofhopkinsville.org. They plan to conduct interviews throughout the month of February.

• Trigg County LEPC will meet at 10 a.m. March 1.

• The next American Red Cross Blood Mobile is scheduled from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. March 5 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Blood donors are accepted as walk-ins or by appointment. If you require an appointment, call 1-800-red-cross.

• The Relay for Life Survivors Dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. May 7 at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex. The event will be hosted by the Bank of Cadiz.

• A free health clinic for any child or adult living in Trigg County will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 9 and 10 at the Trigg County Primary School. Call ahead to schedule an appointment through the Lighthouse Family Resource Center at 270-522-2724. Screenings include health and sports physicals, vision and hearing screenings, cholesterol and glucose testing. (Health and sports physicals meet school requirements. Vision screenings for in-coming kindergarteners must be performed by an optometrist.) Children under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. There are a limited number of appointments available.
