Powell commits to play basketball at WKCTC

DRAFFENVILLE -- Marshall County High School senior Lorin Powell has signed to play basketball with West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah.

Powell played a total of 113 games over four years at MCHS, playing 31 as a senior. She averaged 9.5 points and 6.1 rebounds with a field goal percentage of 45.2% and 63% from the free throw line.

Head coach Dan Langhi joined the coaching staff for Powell's senior season. The Lady Marshals coaching staff stated, "We were blessed with the opportunity to coach such a hardworking, determined student athlete. Lorin has been handed some tough assignments over the year and has always stepped up to the challenge."

Powell is the daughter of Steve and Francie Powell.
