MARSHALL COUNTY -- Marshall County track and field represented well on the first and second teams selected by the Kentucky Track and Cross County Association (KTCCA).

For the All-Area One overall team, the Lady Marshals made first team in the girls 4x400 meter relay and 4x800 meter relay.

First team selections for the Lady Marshals went to Tori McCracken for girls high jump and Sydney Temple for girls pole vault.

The second team members were Tori Ford with the girls 400 meter dash, Presleigh Jennings in girls high jump, and girls discus Abigail Oakley.

The boys received first team awards in five events. Cade Flatt was selected for first team in the boys 400 meter dash and the boys 800 meter run. Both the 4x400 and 4x800 boys relay teams made first team along with a place for Bryce Ladd in the boys pole vault.

Marshall County also took 18 places on the All-Area One Class AAA first team. The Lady Marshals earned 11 first team slots, with the boys earning seven.

MCHS Coach Cory Westerfield was named 2019 All Area One Class AAA Girls Coach of the Year and Andrew Johnston was named 2019 All Area One Class AAA Boys Coach of the Year.

Emily Colley earned first team in girls shot put and Joey Colley earned second team in boys shot put.

Abigail Oakley made first team for girls discus throw.

Justin Wilson earned first team in boys triple jump.

Tori McCracken and Presleigh Jennings were named to first team in the girls high jump. Boys high jump went to Cade Flatt for first team and Kaden Driver for second team.

Sydney Temple earned first team for the girls pole vault, and Bryce Ladd earned second team for the boys pole vault.

Marshall County earned first team placement in both the girls and boys 4x800 meter relay, first team in the girls and boys 4x400 meter relay, and second team in the girls 4x200 meter relay and the boys 4x200 meter relay.

The MCHS girls also earned first team in the 4x100 meter relay, and the boys earned second team in the 4x100 meter relay.

Justin Wilson took first team in the boys 110 meter hurdles.

Charlee Pursley was named to second team for the girls 100 meter dash.

Tori Ford earned first team for the girls 400 meter dash and Leah Vincek earned second team.

Will Davis earned first team for the boys 400 meter dash and Cade Flatt earned second team.

Kaycee Kemp and Tori McCracken were selected to second team for the girls 300 meter hurdles.

Carmen Gunn was named to first team for the girls 800 meter run and Cade Flatt was named first team for the boys 800 meter run.

Jordyn Reed was named to first team for the girls 200 meter dash. Isaiah Kirby and Nick Mighell were both named to second team for the boys 200 meter dash.

Emma Smith was selected to second team for the girls 3200 meter run.
