MCHS baseball run for Region 1 title ends with loss in round two

Catcher Tyler Belcher took a moment during the game against Paducah Tilghman to calm Riley Harris as the team faced a disappointing end to its run for the region one title.

PADUCAH -- The Marshals faced disappointment in the second round of the KHSAA Region One Tournament at Brooks Stadium as they battled Paducah Tilghman for a seat in the championship game.

The Marshals took seven hits off Paducah Tilghman but was only able to convert those to one run in the fifth.

With Isaiah Neeble on second and Austin Stockdale on first, Ty Buchmeier hit a hard ground ball to center field earning first base and sending Neeble home.

Paducah Tilghman sealed the win with a seven-run walk off and two outs in the sixth inning with six hits, a double, and a triple.
