MARSHALL COUNTY -- According to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), Marshall County High School Athletics possess eight students that are considered an athletic "Triple Threat."

The KHSAA announced the Triple Threat Award recipients for the 2018-2019 athletic season. These students participated in three sports during the school year.

This year's recipients are Sofia Bayer, Laney Evans, Gabbi Lovett, Dawson Smothers, Mary Grace Thompson, Leah Vincek, and Luke Wyatt.

Sofia Bayer was a member of the soccer team, swim team, and track team her junior year.

As a freshman Laney Evans participated in volleyball, girls basketball, and track.

Gabbi Lovett ran cross county and played girls basketball and softball as a sophomore. Junior Dawson Smothers played football, basketball, and baseball.

As a sophomore, Mary Grace Thompson played volleyball and was on the swim team and the track team.

Leah Vincek was on the cross country and track teams and played golf and basketball her freshman year.

Junior Luke Wyatt played football and basketball, and he competed on the track and field team.
