DRAFFENVILLE -- The Lady Eagles have reached the end of their first season of district softball. District losses put a hit on their win-loss record. The Lady Eagles finished 13-16, taking six losses in district games. Last season with no district action, CFS finished 15-7.

Monday evening ended the Lady Eagles' regular season with a loss to Ballard Memorial with the Lady Bombers pulling away in the fourth and fifth innings.

Ballard started the scoring with three runs in the first inning. RBI hits by Jayden Jackson and Jaycie Jackson in the second inning put the Lady Eagles on the board and brought them within two of the Lady Bombers.

The Lady Eagles defense could not slow the Ballard progress while struggling to add their own runs. The Lady Eagles took 12 hits against the Lady Bombers turning seven runs. Abigail Cima and Sarah Zabawa both hit .667 and Jayden Jackson and Jaycie Jackson both hit with two RBI's.
