DRAFFENVILLE -- The Marshall County High School Athletic Department announced this past week that former MCHS athlete Aaron Beth will be taking the position of the new MCHS girls golf coach.

"Coming home is something special. I am excited about wearing the orange and blue again," commented Beth. "It was tough to leave Graves and my players, but it was time to come back home. I can't wait to get to the course this summer, compete this fall with the girls, and start working on winning a state championship."

Beth was inducted into the Marshall County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. As an athlete at Marshall County, Beth was a decorated member of the soccer team and basketball team, leading both to three state tournament appearances in the late 1980s.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to hire Aaron to lead our girls golf program," stated Mike Johnson, athletic director. "He is a great coach and has proven that his teams will always compete at a high level and improve during the season. He will continue to build on the success of our girls program and compete for a state championship."
