Mr. Russell Owen Martin, 78, of Gilbertsville, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray. He was retired from Petter Supply where he worked 30 years in electrical sales. He owned Little House Antiques and Martin's Country Store in Palma. He was a member of East Baptist Church, Paducah.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Landa Faye (Leidecker) Martin of Gilbertsville; son, Rusty Martin of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughter, Kathy Wood, husband Mark of Gilbertsville; brothers, Frank Martin of Paducah, David Martin of Reidland, Donald Martin of Sharpe, and Willis Martin of California; grandchildren, Amanda "Mandy" Wood Dunn, husband Adam of Gilbertsville; Elizabeth "Lizzy" Wood of Gilbertsville, Jesse Martin of Big Sky, Montana, Josh Martin of San Diego, California; and great-grandchildren, Josie Dunn, Chloe Dunn, Sawyer Dunn, Lucy Dunn and Finnley Dunn all of Gilbertsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otho Roe Martin and Eula (Patton) Martin, and sisters, Jennie Thompson and Jaunita Duncan.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, with Bro. Danny Holt officiating.

Interment will follow the service in Moreland Cemetery, Gilbertsville.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, KY Chapter, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Lane Ste. 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.
