Oakley awarded Kentucky Lake Chamber scholarship

Chamber Board Chairman Jeremy Rowe and Chamber scholarship recipient Abigail Oakley.

The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County has announced that Marshall County High School senior Abigail Oakley, has been chosen as the recipient of their $1,000 scholarship.

Abigail is the daughter of Kevin & Jennifer Oakley, of Benton, and plans to attend The University of Alabama in Huntsville this fall to pursue a major in Aerospace Engineering.

In a press release, Debbie Buchanan, Executive Director of the Chamber said, "The Chamber would like to congratulate Abigail on all her contributions and achievements to her school and community during her time at Marshall County High School and wish her much success as she seeks to further her education, pursue a college degree and eventually become an Aerospace Engineer.

"With all the hard work, dedication and perseverance she has exemplified so far, the odds are great that she will do just that."
