New Bethel Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-7:30 p.m. for kids preschool - high school age. Registration starts at 5:45 p.m. Sunday night and a meal will be served. The Marshall County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. at Republican Headquarters on the Benton Court Square. Morgan Alvey, a member of Senator McConnell's staff, will be the guest speaker. Plans will be discussed for a fall fundraiser and a light lunch will be served.

The Humane Society of Marshall County will host 4 Miles 4 Paws Benefit run/walk at Kenlake State Resort Park. The Grand Lodge of Kentucky Free and Accepted Masons is hosting a veterans recognition meal at 3 p.m. at the Lee S. Jones County Park, 510 State Route 93 S, Eddyville, KY 42038. All veterans and their families are welcome and invited to attend and enjoy a free meal in appreciation of their service.
