Gean York
  Mrs. Gean York, 88, of Benton, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at her home in Benton. She was a homemaker and member of Hardin Baptist Church.
  She was born Wednesday, February 5, 1930 in Marshall County. She was the daughter of the late John Myers and the late Ruth (Darnall) Myers. 
  Surviving are son, David York, wife Vickie of Benton, daughters, Carolyn Cope, husband Irvin of Benton and Janette Garland, husband Gary of Dexter,sisters, Ruth Ann Edwards of Benton, Anna Lou Taylor of Benton, and Sis Haufeller of New Hampshire, nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Reese “Mutt” York, son, Jerry York, daughter, Clara O’Bryan, brothers, Frank Myers, Abe Myers, John Irvin Myers, Mason Myers and Bub Myers, sister, Beth Henson, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
  A funeral service was held at Collier Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Interment followed in the Pace Cemetery, Hardin.
  Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
